3D print a gear ⚙️ attach to bottom or top then artach motor by gear you can then change gears for most efficient collecting based on wind amount or motor design rpm

No. It is not possible. Air is compressible. Water is not. The question is just as silly as asking if you can use a water pump to fly an airplane.

Your intake should be larger than your second stage. You're speeding up the air then expanding it across the second stage. These machines work with tolerances that are very tight and having the stages in the wrong order can wreck the machine due to vibration. 20+ years operating and working on these and i still learn more all the time.

What a cool build! My guess as to why the first stage showed more wear: This is the only impeller that is only supported by a bearing on one end, not both. As a result, I think it could wobble and shake more, causing it to hit the walls. It might be worthwhile to try to balance the impellers with weights or drilling holes. I believe this could be very beneficial to the efficiency!

I can actually think of a use for a device like this. In the oil industry and in some other industries you have areas that can have potentially explosive atmospheres. Tools in these areas need to have very strict control over ignition sources, and therefore electric equipment becomes very heavy and expensive. As a result, compressed air is very common, and used to drive all kinds of tools. It's almost universally 90PSI/6Bar. So uf tou need a higher pressure a compressed air driven air compressor actually makes sense.

I made an gear ratio with my lego technic, i used an calculator app and it said it had 880 newton centimeters of torque, it was hella slow but i could barely stop it using a beam, releasing the beam would instantly whip it 1/4 of the rotation forward and lets say it was so strong it ripped apart a small gear

Good job. For the leakage problem between two printed halfes I use sandpaper on a glasplate to get both halfes as smooth and plane as possible (180 Grid and some water). Then I use some grease ( e.g. white petrolatum). Works well with PLA.

Nicely done ! But, such narrow air passages . I would add cross sectional area to the air passages to minimize resistance to flow. also, a thought: if you make a channel in the mating surfaces of the casing from one end to the other you could fit a seal made of polyurethane elastomer into it to seal the leak. Nice work. But that compressor looks totally choked on the output between stages. That style of compressor likes to move air, lots of it. It's not so much high pressure as it is high volume of air. The outlets are almost non-existent. I'm only a minute in.... Maybe there's something not looking right. The compressors need an open outlet.

What would make it MUCH more efficient, is not using ABS :D... if you wanna use wind energy, you have to work really on a flat surface for the blades, if its ABS maybe you can brush epoxy on it or so, I didn't try it, but I was watching and thinking me into this topic a bit, and it was obvious logic, that every not flat area on the blades would create little vortexes, which takes a lot energy from the force which is going against the blades... Can't remember if in the videos I watched they really showed the comparison, the more I think about it, the more I wanna print it too xD Ah great, you linked the files... thx!

Water jets are not as efficient as regular propellers. A jet's advantage is that it can run in shallow water. But in deep water, the boat is slower than the same engine/motor and boat with a propeller geared correctly. That is why propellers are predominant.

for centrefugal compressor you should use the same consept as with axialti - with first bigger and next cmalle centrefuge to increse presure

maybe instead of burning stuff to get a volume increase you might inject LN2 into the airflow, which boils becoming N2, and that can then drive the turbine. to evaporate the LN2 a heat exchanger might be used.
